Stephanie Burlton (Union College '07)
Burnaby Mountain Selects Women's Lacrosse
Co-Head Coach (1st Year at Burnaby Mountain)
Stephanie joins Burnaby Mountain for its inaugural female season with a wealth of lacrosse experience, both playing and coaching. This past year Stephanie played in goal for the Canadian National Team attending tournaments in Boston, MA and San Diego, CA. Prior to her experience with the national team Stephanie had a stand out career at Union College (NCAA Div III) as the starting goaltender, receiving all conference honorable mention and still holds records for most ground balls and most wins. Stephanie also led the Union Women's Ice Hockey Team (NCAA Div 1) in assists and was selected as the ECAC East Rookie of the Year.
While at Union, Stephanie helped coach the Niskayuna High School Varsity Lacrosse team out of Niskayuna, NY as well as coaching at the Player's Choice camps in NY State. Stephanie was also the goalie coach/assistant at Emerson College (NCAA Div III) in Boston, MA for the 07/08 season.
Away from the field Stephanie continues to excel on the ice as a member of the BC Breakers Hockey Club competing in the WWHL (Western Women's Hockey League). She is also a full time Strength and Conditioning Specialist at the Performance Institute in Burnaby, BC and enjoys working with athletes from the amateur to professional level.
Academically, Stephanie was an accomplished student at Union and majored in Film Studies, Philosophy and Anthropology and continues to pursue her passion for documentary film making when she has time away from athletics.
P.J McAteer (Duquesne '01, Loyola '09)

Co-Head Coach (1st Year at Burnaby Mountain)
P.J. McAteer joins the Burnaby Mountain Women's Selects coaching staff in its inaugural season. P.J. has relocated to the Vancouver area from Baltimore, Maryland where she co-coached the Catonsville Varsity Women's Lacrosse program. During her three year coaching tenure at Catonsville, the Comets won two regional championships and made two appearances in the Maryland State Championship Game. P.J. McAteer was also the Varsity Field Hockey coach for the Catonsville Comets. She has also coached lacrosse camps at Duquesne University and Lehigh University.
P.J is also an accomplished player. While playing for Duquesne University, The Dukes appeared in 3 consecutive NCAA Atlantic 10 Division I championship tournaments. As an attacker for Duquesne, P.J. contributed 43 points in her first two seasons. She was moved into the goal for her third and fourth seasons. As a goal keeper she led the Dukes to the Atlantic 10 championship game and was named to the All-Championship Select team. As a goal keeper, P.J. maintains the career record at Duquesne for goals against average with an impressive 8.47 average. Post-collegiate play includes two U.S. National Tournament appearances with the Mid-Atlantic team, and seven years in the mid-Atlantic club league. P.J. was also a member of the Maryland State Field Hockey All-Star team which competed in the National Field Hockey Tournament.
Away from the field, P.J. completed a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education for Social Studies. She was a member of the Dean's List and the Commissioner's Cup Athletes Honor Roll throughout her tenure at Duquesne. P.J. taught Honors American History, Advanced Placement Human Geography, Honors World History, and Economics and Political Issues at Catonsville High School in Maryland for seven years. In 2009 she graduated from Loyola College with a Master's in Liberal Arts concentrating in Political Science and Philosophy.
